About us
“Living Well Family Services is all about empowering children and young people, supporting families, and strengthening communities.”
It all started…
With a shared passion — to see children and young people thrive and live well.
We came together with a desire to support not only children and young people as individuals, but also their families, and the wider communities they are part of.
We recognise that many children and young people experience adverse life circumstances or significant trauma, and as a result may struggle with their emotions and wellbeing.
The Children’s Society Good Childhood Report (2022) highlights this growing need, showing that children’s happiness continues to decline, with around 1 in 5 children in a classroom of 30 experiencing a mental health difficulty.
As Play and Creative Arts Therapists, we each bring a unique background of working with children, young people, and families across education and charity sectors, both in the UK and internationally.
Play and Creative Arts Therapists
one-to-one
We work one-to-one and in small groups, providing a safe, nurturing space where children and young people can explore their experiences, express their emotions, and begin to heal and grow.
We love to see how the children engage with what is in the play therapy room each week, and as play therapists, we play with them to deepen their process and their play.

As a team, we are deeply passionate about the work we do, having seen first-hand the power of play therapy to bring meaningful change in children’s lives. At the same time, we recognise that every child is part of a wider family system.
That’s why Living Well Family Services is committed to supporting not only children, but also parents, carers, and the whole family.
We want families to understand the importance and potential of play, and to feel equipped to continue that support at home. By working alongside parents and carers, we aim to ensure that the positive changes we see in children are lasting and have a meaningful impact on everyday family life.
Our goal is to come alongside families so that everyone is supported to live well and thrive together.
